These terms govern your use of mycarmileage.com ("the site"), operated by MyCarMileage. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. What this site is

MyCarMileage publishes fuel efficiency data, running-cost calculators and editorial guides relating to cars sold in India. It is an information service. It is not a dealer, broker, insurer, financial adviser or agent of any manufacturer.

2. Accuracy of information — read this part

Mileage figures on this site are of two kinds, and both have limits:

• ARAI figures are laboratory certification results obtained under the Modified Indian Driving Cycle. They are reproduced as published by manufacturers. They do not predict what any individual car will return.
• Real-world figures are medians of voluntary, unverified reports from members of the public. We filter implausible entries, but we cannot audit them.

Actual fuel efficiency varies with driving style, traffic, load, terrain, weather, tyre pressure, fuel quality and vehicle condition. Prices, specifications and variant availability change without notice. Verify anything material with the manufacturer or an authorised dealer before you make a purchase decision.

Calculator outputs are estimates produced from the values you enter. They are not financial advice.

3. Your submissions

When you submit a mileage report, comment or other content, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that it is your own, and that it contains no personal data belonging to anyone else.

You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, aggregate, adapt and distribute that content as part of the site's dataset. You retain ownership of what you wrote.

We may edit, decline or remove any submission — in particular submissions that are implausible, promotional, abusive, defamatory or unlawful.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract the site's data other than through publicly documented means and at a reasonable rate
• Submit deliberately false data, or automate submissions
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
• Interfere with the site's operation or security measures
• Republish substantial portions of the database as a competing service without written permission

5. Intellectual property

The site's design, code, editorial content and the compiled arrangement of its database are owned by MyCarMileage and protected by copyright. Manufacturer names, model names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used descriptively, under nominative fair use, to identify the vehicles described. Their use here does not imply any affiliation or endorsement. Car photographs are used under Creative Commons or public-domain licences and are credited on our image credits page.

You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the source page.

6. Advertising and third-party links

The site is funded by display advertising. Advertisements are marked as such and have no influence on our data or editorial content. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyCarMileage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or reliance on the site — including any purchase decision informed by it.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify MyCarMileage against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

11. Changes

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do, and continued use of the site after that date constitutes acceptance.
